"Sustainable Recruitment; we are committed to the protection and preservation of the environment in the distribution of our products and services."

We intend to be viewed as a responsible business committed to continual improvement in environmental impact and pollution prevention. This includes reduction, wherever possible, of energy consumption and carbon emission.

With the help of our clients, and in relation to the recruitment process, we aim to improve sustainability by the following:

Requesting better vacancy specifications from our clients when we think these are necessary. Working with accurate vacancy specifications helps to reduce the number of unsuccessful face-to-face interviews conducted, reducing the need for travel and the use of client resources. This also reduces the need for us to travel and question recruiting managers in person to gain accurate vacancy specifications.

Wherever possible, recruiting candidates who live locally to our clients, or within a reasonable commuting distance. Where contractors are engaged, we encourage them to live temporarily close to their work to reduce the travel they need to do.

Regarding the operation of our own business, we also aim to:

  • Reducing the amount of travel our employees are required to do, including to and from our own offices. We make use of remote working where appropriate and we also aim to recruit people living locally.
  • Turn off equipment and lighting that is not required whenever possible.
  • Minimise the use of consumables such as paper, ink, toners, etc., by using e-mail, telephone and web-based communication whenever possible.
  • Open windows, as an alternative to using air conditioning, whenever possible.
  • Actively promote recycling by making use of the recycling bins provided. These are available for plastics, paper and metal packaging.
  • Actively promote the use of our own kitchen facilities for food preparation, rather than encouraging the purchase of pre-packaged goods.
  • Reuse materials whenever possible. For example, printing on both sides of paper whenever possible.
  • As a team, actively suggest and discuss ways of further reducing our carbon footprint and our general impact on the environment.
